You're the Pollinator, 2024

You’re the Pollinator requires your participation for you to see the full sculpture. You can view it as is, but turning the switch on the central lower armature activates the lights which cast dramatic shadows in the room. The piece forces the viewer to perform a service that benefits both you and the sculpture.

This piece is carved walnut and stands about 7.5 ft tall. The inspiration came from the forms and habits of orchids, drones, poppies, and skeletal structures. The flexible components have gooseneck armatures beneath the walnut rings, so it can be positioned in a variety of ways.
