Library Field studies

These are all large paintings, 38" x 52". At the time I was making them, I wasn't aware that they represented moments that I was dreaming and exploring the boundaries between fields and disciplines, skies and oceans, ecology and geology. I didn't really set out to make anything speciifc when I made thse pieces, they just kind of happened and my various interests - what I was reading or listening to, what I saw on walks, travels, or sleep.
