I can’t get enough of the spalted beech, and my plan this winter is to get out there with the chainsaw and cut some more slabs. It makes me impatient: with other wood, I twice turn it and try to get truer circles in the end. With the beech, I can’t help but turn it once and watch the wood contort and take these ovular shapes. This is a sweet mid sized bowl. I like it. You like it.
